I am replacing a twenty year old steam boiler and steam radiators to a radiant floor system. I am so confused by the number of choices to heat the water for this system. I could use a traditional boiler, a tankless hot water heater, or even a wall hung combination boiler and tankless hot water system. Consider this…. if Cap and Trade is implemented and you decide you want to sell your home, would you be happy to have a government inspector do an energy audit of your house and then force you to spend the money to upgrade your house before it can be sold?

Wouldn’t you think that upgrades ought to be the buyer’s choice after they own?

I don’t want to apply to any of those companies that claim they can get the information on funding only to have to pay some type of fee to get the information, I think there is a federally funded program but I don’t know where to start.
