State appliance rebate program expands
Californians now can get cash back for buying energy-efficient freezers, dishwashers, water heaters and HVAC systems, in addition to room air conditioners, clothes washers and refrigerators. The California Cash for Appliances rebate program, which has lagged since launching three months ago, is expanding the list of eligible energy-efficient machines in an attempt to boost interest.
