Solar Energy Concentrator

Purchase: hilaroad.com This video demonstrates how solar energy can be focused with a curved mirror. Once focused this energy can be used to cook food, sterilize water even create electricity. Includes an explanation of Energy, Power, Joules, Watts. Examples of radiant, heat, chemical and kinetic energy are given. Includes links to directions for constructing a simple solar concentrator.

Great explanation of solar and why its so important we look to renewable energies. I love it when things get linked back to physics. Thanks!

haha this man still thinks that oil is “fossil fuel”

I invented a breakthrough energy source which violates the law of energy conservation. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena violating the law of energy conservation. I am looking for $30000 for a prototype and for $3M for patents. In mass production it will cost $1200 to make a 15 kW generator, value of energy produced YEARLY about $10000.

    @zeinbrug
Yes it would be volatile, no it would not be good fuel.

If you try to concentrate the concentrated light again, you might get an extreme narrow focal point with a similar high temperature.

If you use a parabolic mirror or other sun concentrators, they work as magnifying glasses.

Another use of solar power to cook is Fresnel lenses; you can fry food with them.

    Good luck.

Thank you, you make it easy to understand. LOVE the curved mirror to cook something! Sharing.

Great video…I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas…I made a video about it called, “Preparing for Peak Oil”….

if you mixed hydrogen and ethanol fuel it woulhd probly more effenit than solar or wind but it woulhd highley voliatle.

    4:22 = Burning HotDog! :D

could you multiply the sun light further by using a concentrator to focus light on something like a magnifying glass?

Hey, i’m working on a school project, and i´m trying to make a car moved by solar energy. do you think I could aplicate this method to the project to get more power from the sun?
by the way…nice video (and sorry for my english, im portuguese)

I think it would explode. LMFAO

love ur videos!! just came across ur channel, cant wait to go through all of them

  • ronprivat

    Simple and brilliant!

  • Omnishredder

easy you can make them with everyday tin foil and curved box and you are away and it costs little to make srsly and then costs more for a pv cell

  • iknowyoux

That’s truly amazing! I slashed my electric bill in half! look here: solar.xfollow.me (Copy to your browser’s address bar)

Don’t have to pay for the electric bill lol

Hi, I am Teddy. Once you read this you cannot get out. Finish reading this until it is done! As I said, I am Teddy. I am 7 years old and have no eyes and blood all over my face. I am dead. If you don’t post this in 12 threads, I will come to ur house at midnight and hide under ur bed. When ur asleep I’ll kill you.
