I’m looking to buy a solar panel online. Hoping for about 65 watts and looking for the smaller more durable variety (monocrystalline?) as opposed to larger amorphous silicon.

Any ideas where I can get the best deal? And what brand to look for?

I’ve tried Ebay but ended up with poor quality ones. Just looking to make a simple system with 1 panel, 1 battery, 1 charge controller and 1 inverter to power and recharge my laptop and power a dozen or so LED lights.

I would like to know to reduced my emissions of CO2 by changing little by little my apartment. I have already changed all my light bulbs to CFLS. I got 4 free CFL’S from my utility company, and I bought 4 more for $ 10.00.
Does anyone has a list showing how much it would cost to change lights bulbs, insulation, windows, appliances, solar water heater, solan panels? How will each saved me on electricity?

So…I happen to have several small business ideas + some limited capital to invest (50k-70k)…but can’t pick the best one:

1. website that sells solar panels. Reason: emergent technology, less competition, very practical, small investment needed, etc. Problem: not sure about the demand imo.
2. website that sells laptops/electronics to uk/australian market: Reason: big price difference on some occasions, my idea is to pick suppliers of us manufactured electronics that don’t ship internationally and then sell them internationally. Problem: huge competition, trust issues.
