Question by Charlotte: Where can I buy solar panels to make a solar powered cell phone charger?
Back in high school it was going to be a school project for our science team but the plan never worked out. Two years later I am finally going to do it. I live in the Asbury Park, New Jersey area. Is there a store that is located a decent distance to buy them? Is there a reliable online source?

Question by : Why is Hydrogen Fuel Cell power said to be the cheapest, cleanest, and most renewable alternate energy source?
I thought we couldn’t even produce it. Please be brief. How’s it better than wind or solar power, for instance?
Best answer:
Answer by billrussell42It’s true in that the only pollution product is water vapor. But it is far from being the cheapest.
The problem is that the only ways that hydrogen can be produced today are expensive and create lots of pollution. Either you use a lot of electricity to electrolyze water, and the source of the electricity may be very polluting, [...]

Question by Solomon Titiloye Oyebanji: How do I generate electricity using weaked dry cell batteries, table salt, water and the solar system.?
This system is being used in a village in Ogun state, Nigeria., but the inventor is unwilling to reveal the basics. The rule is that water should not dry from the installation point.
Best answer:
Answer by billrussell42Having trouble understanding your question. “weaked”? Is it wrecked (broken) cells or weak cells?
If you have the entire solar system, you can do anything. I think you mean a solar cell?
“water should not dry” doesn’t make any sense.
If you have weak batteries [...]
On December 12, 2002, Toyota Motor Corporation began limited marketing of the hydrogen-powered TOYOTA FCHV (fuel cell hybrid vehicle) in the United States and Japan. Considered to be the closest thing yet to the ultimate eco-car, the TOYOTA FCHV was developed using Toyota’s original hybrid technology—derived from the Prius, the world’s first mass-produced hybrid vehicle—as its core technology. As R&D on the TOYOTA FCHV continues, the technology that drives it is accelerating toward widespread use. At the same time, we are exploring the potential of a wide range of power sources—including not only hydrogen, but also gasoline, diesel, electricity and [...]
