How could i start my energy/wind turbine company?

by stantontcady

Question by Jim B: How could i start my energy/wind turbine company?
I am a 23 year old economics student. It is my ambition to develop a company that generates energy through offshore wind farm using wind turbines. It has not been attempted in my city (nor in my country) yet but the wind blows EVERYDAY! So much so that the town i live in is called the ‘windy city’. I always day dream of how successful this a company of this nature could become. Is there anyone out there with some solid advice for me??

Question by Mark S: How many solar panels could you buy for B? What would be the power output?

Anybody know how much power output you could buy for that much?
I’m sure if he drew up a 5 year, $ 10 Billion contract, the government could get a massive discount, probably as much as 30% off the cost.

Survey: If you could not install a solar panel on your house would you buy shares in a solar energy co-op?

Question by RomeoMike: Survey: If you could not install a solar panel on your house would you buy shares in a solar energy co-op?
In a number of communities the home owner associations don’t allow solar panels on roofs because they think they blight the neighborhood. Other people live in apartments and can’t have solar panels.

In addition would being able to use government tax credits, be an additional incentive to invest in a solar co-op?

Answer by pissy_old_ladyLow flow toilets..they use way less water to flush..there are faucets/shower heads now that allow less water through but you do not notice the difference (you do, but not too bad–have them–I think they are just called water saver fixtures), any energy star rated appliance (check and compare them though, as there is a big difference in them), dry your clothes outside on a line. Energy star appliances can be refrigeraters, washing machines, dishwashers, fans…many items. Using the CFL [...]
