We are about 1 1/2 years from having an ethanol gas refinery in our community. I was looking for an opportunity to provide some type of service to this new facility.

Many Obama supporters are bitter for the rising of food prices knowing Obama is a strong supporter of corn ethanol. Obama is good at blaming people and stealing people ideas or should i say pragmatic. He lacks innovation ideas. A great leader must have rocket science idea like FDR, Reagan, lincoln, etc something obama lacks. That has to come with great experience. Sorry to say, but Obama will take the U.S to depression.

Then they plant Mono cultures of trees ,that are like hell on Earth devoid of life except plagues of single insect species
which they kill with pesticides

and the weeds they control with herbicides,

Then they over pump subteranean water supplies suck the ground dry of water ,because this kind of agro forestry needs a lot of water ,because they heavily rely on fertilizers.

I use non ethanol gas in my truck, and notice I get 50 more miles to the tank, and the exhaust doesn’t seem to smell any worse. But on tv last night they were saying that the ethanol blends get better mileage and burn clean. Is this only true for new cars, or do I just have a strange truck.

Please keep all comments and debates civil, no vulgarities, ECT… While I think that ethanol has some very limited potential as a fuel it’s far from practical at this time and is questionable if it could be with such high populations and automotive usage. One of the follies of ethanol is that it produces a lot of smog emissions. The major pitfall is that it takes a lot energy to take the raw materials of agriculture and convert them into a burnable ethanol. Don’t bother.
You’ll find it takes more energy to produce ethanol than you’ll get back when you burn it.
Go ahead and do it!
