Question by Meganator: Costly not to have an energy efficient fridge?
We just got a fridge from some friends, and it’s an older fridge (20 years old). It’s still in great condition, but the prev. owner said it just wasn’t energy efficiant. We got it for free, so we’re not too concerened, expecially since we can’t afford a new one right now. Do you know how much a difference it will make in our electric bill? Right now, on average, ours is about $ 70 (because we’re not using air or heat).

If you have lets say 1 ounce of water at 100 deg F, which would be more energy efficient. To put it in your freezer part, or to put it in your fridge (Of the same unit)…To get it down to 60 deg F?
