I’m sure there are federal & state incentives for solar power in the US. This should help tackle the twin problems of rising electricity costs and the responsbility of having green home energy systems.

1) Contact or lookup your electric company, they should be able to help.
2) If you haven’t bought any solar power products yet ask the company you are planning to purchase from, they should know if not try another company.

I know that other states (California, Tennessee, Arizona, etc.) offer rebates and other incentives for the purchase and implementation of energy saving appliances and alternative energy generators (solar, wind, hydroelectric, etc.). I can’t seem to find any such offers from the state of Alabama

Answer by Andrew OThey have them for energy star appliances. Contact you local electricity provider. Sometimes they run out of funding thugh.

it is non-pollutting
it lessens the need for imported fuels from foreign nations that are potentially hostile to us

In Canada it can be very difficult for a residential property owner to get any kind of financial help from the government to install a solar electric system. Why dont the companies that offer these products run promotional campaigns and write the losses off in thier taxes?
