I have been hearing dire prediction of things to come because of global warming and the fact we are running low on fossil fuels sources, there is a possibility of widespread blackouts next summer.

Why aren’t government buildings and all homes and commercial buildings that are located in areas that get so hot they require airconditioning required to install solar panels? Why isn’t it part of building codes?

I was told it’s too expensive to require that in every building.

I’m wondering if you total up all the electricity a plant making solar panels uses in a year, the energy the workers take to travel to their jobs each day, the energy used to transport the finished product to consumers and finally the energy used to install them and then compare it to the energy all of these panels will produce during their 20 year life will anything be gained?

I was wondering if it is possible to convert all the internal lightings and fan systems in a household to solar power. That way only heavy duty stuff like air conditioners and motors will be powered by the grid? What are the drawbacks of this system?

solar panels on homes would reduce our consuption of coal, reduce the need for nuclear power, and create U.S. Based manufacturing for these panels, and create jobs in constuction.
