I live in Massachusetts, and due to the Cape Wind project our costs per KWh will soon be increasing from a little over 8 cents per KWh to 30 cents or more. Plus National Grid charges a Monthly Delivery Fee of nearly $ 50 whether I use any Electricity at all.
I don’t have Air Conditioners, I have nothing but CFL’s, and I unplug everything in sight when I’m not using it. My Electrical Bill is still over $ 100 a month.

Question by Yuggs: Can I use a residential well for geothermal energy?
I am building a new house. We have to drill a deep well for water (~500ft). Can this same well be used for geothermal energy as well, or does that have to be on a separate system?

Question by Ken: Maui -small wind turbines and Solar power in residential areas.?
Has anyone seen this on Maui? We plan to move there and want to reduce our dependence on the grid. The wind speed of the Hawaiian islands is approx. 10% higher than the avg. on the mainland.
