Question by : Using Vegetable oil as fuel? Is it as easy as it sounds?
I was thinking of purchasing a diesel truck and using used vegetable oil as fuel. Is it that easy just filter out the crumbs and things or do you need to buy conversion kits and things of that nature.

this is how i clean my oil after settleing for over a month. I run it approximately one hour at 80psi, starting at 160 degrees getting above 212 degrees to get all the water out. Then I pan test the oil in a cast iron pan to be absolutely sure there is no suspended water left in the oil. I run a single tank, chevy k5, with a 6.2l diesel motor. Answer by Peter KMy guess the same way that you do with bio diesel. You filter all the rubbish out. Boil off any water impurities. And treat it with methylated spirits and remove the glycerine.

Question by Anonymous: Is it possible to run a home furnace on Vegetable oil or Biodiesel?
Oil hit $ 100/barrel today, my oil bill was outrageous (I live in the Northeast) before the price was this high. Since home heating oil is essentially diesel, and you can run Biodiesel/refined vegetable oil in a diesel powered automobile with virtually no modifications. Would it be possible to heat your home with these?
