Question by saint_magua: Will the use of roll-on plastic window film in the summer save energy?
Specifically, I was wondering if the use of plastic window film will reduce energy use and cost if used in the summer heat of Phoenix. Every blog, internet article and window film manufacturer site that I’ve read, mention it’s use only in the winter. Thanks.

What is the most energy efficient air conditioner on the market, looking for an A/C, NOT A SWAMP COOLER.

Look for a reverse cycle air-conditioner that you can use both as a cooler in summer and as an energy efficient heater in winter too.

We recently moved to a new home. We have a huge west facing window high above our entryway. When the afternoon sun hits this window our adjacent living room gets really hot in spite of AC. We were going to get a quote for a motorized blind, but just started reading about energy saving solar window film. Has anyone tried it? Did it help to cool a room? Was the film clear? Thanks!
