Any good sites that sell turbines. I'm kind of lost, I've never seen one in a store and I see a few on Ebay but there must be a site or company that sells these.

The big problem for most people is not finding a source… there are many, including some very low cost models from China if you are looking for 5 – 20kW.
Almost always the first problem will be neighbours and municipal authorities. You need to know whether you will be permitted to build one, what distance from other buildings or from your property line. (Typical minima will be 300 metres from property lines.)
Because wind velocity increases and turbulence declines, you also have to plan to have your tower high, 100 feet to turbine centre is considered minimal. This means you need to be well away from airports.
A good strategy, once you have decided what wattage you want to install, (maximum rated capacity) use a google search like wind turbine 20kw (to find a 20kw machine)
There are far more smaller turbines, as in 1kw, the size one might want for a summer cottage.
Remember that the cost of towers increases very substantially as wattage increases.
Next, you need to think carefully about whether you plan to be on grid or off. This single question changes how you equip the installation so much that it comes right after consulting with neighbours and the municipality. It also forces you to discuss plans with your grid management before proceeding if you plan to be on grid.

the best turbines I have ever seen are in Chicago, researched and built by Aerotecture. they are micro units that do not need the towers. they can also hug the ridge line of a building and run off the wind that whips over the the ridge.
What kind of wind turbine? Are you using it to pump water from a well? If this is what you are looking for, I would say go to farm auctions. Craigslist might be a good idea as well.
A cheaper wind turbine for residential use can be found at http://www.pacwind.net. The SeaHawk model was featured on the hit tv show “Living with Ed”.
The SeaHawk retails at $ 3,000 not including installation. The rated output is an average 500W, however this is all determined by wind speed and to get the 500W you need a wind speed of 25mph… On the website there is a Adobe reader document that has a graph which shows the output you will receive for each mph for wind. Where I live the average wind speed is about 5-7 mph which would give a very very small wattage output and it would take forever to recoup the expense. So make sure you know your average wind speed and compare it to the graph to see if it is really cost effective for you.
